Book Two is Live!
While Woodbrook is a fictional town in Oklahoma, I hope my readers can get a feel for what it might really be like. I love Paisley’s cafe – it’s the hub of the original town where residents come to meet, to be recognized, and feel seen. It’s a place I feel I’ve been and certainly would like to go today.
I love Paisley’s resilience. In Cinderella and the Oil Man, we learn that Paisley is a young widow who lost her military husband too soon. Her kindness touches the heart of Nick, a regular patron who keeps secret his family oil fortune. Two awful stepsisters work to ruin things for our Woodbrook Cinderella. But Nick – quite a Prince Charming himself – is there to thwart their evil doings and sweep Paisley away to his prairie palace. Sigh.
Let’s get romantic!
